Generally speaking, the least interesting aspect of fiction for me is relationships between human beings. I’m pretty sure this is holding me back, publishing-wise. Also, it may make me sociopathic.

Sometimes, I stick a divorce or a broken home into a story as an excuse to write about bears and trees. If bears and trees read more fiction, I wouldn’t even do that.
