The idea of CriminalAnimal evolved from a Graduate Seminar in Art, taught by Lane Hall at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, during the spring of 2003. It was an exciting semester that culminated in creative art projects, journal entries, critical writing and participation in a regional conference on Zoos as well as an intervention at the Milwaukee County Zoo.
